One Week Youth & Optional Activity Programme
Description
This course gives young people between 8 and 18, the opportunity to study Polish in an Polish speaking environment, and enjoy a range of activities and excursions. The course provides 15 hours of practice in the 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) for a week, with enough opportunity for active vocabulary development. If a government school is visited, 12 hours are used for Polish tuition and 3 for the visit. The focus is to practice the Polish that students have already learned, in addition to learning new material.
- Levels: Beginner to Advanced Level / A1 to C1
- Homework: Assigned daily.
- Tests: Initial test to ensure allocation to the right class
- Progress: Regular monitoring to ensure students' performance.
- Course material: Up-to-date course materials are used for all our courses..
- Class size: We limit the size of our classes to only 12 students, so that each student will receive enough individual attention.
- Certificates: At the end of the course, students are awarded Certificates from Tellus.
Course dates:
Courses run for a week during Autumn, Winter and Spring (October – June). There are options for afternoon and / or evening activities and the opportunity for a half day visit at a government school. The purpose of the optional school visit (1) is integration into a classroom environment, so that students can get a taste of the Polish Government School Education System, while providing the student with the opportunity to practice their Polish skills with Polish speaking students.
Included in the package are:
- Activity programme.
- All Polish Language tuition.
- Course books and other learning materials.
- Transport to and from activities as required.
- Full supervision (1 staff member for every 10-15 students, depending on students' age).
- Accommodation (home stay, full board).
